Scientific name: Nepenthes alata
The carnivorous Nepenthes alata is distinguished by it’s large burgundy tubes. The tubes are filled with secretions that enable it to digest insects, replacing the need for fertilizer. Fill the tubes halfway with distilled water if disturbed during transit.
Aesthetically this plant has a unique sculptural appeal, a true conversation piece, that is both beautiful and practical.
This plant comes in a 10 inch hanging basket.
